A sneaker inspired by recently popular military boots. Interestingly, the sole is the same that van Assche used for his sandals, and they prove very versatile. In the same way the silhouette of the shoe is borrowed from his earlier high tops. Ssense offers these very wearable, but also slightly pricey shoes for around $565.

Minimalist, creative, avant-gardist, Martin Margiela’s style is unique. This season still, he presents a collection of ré-interpreted basic pieces, a revival of classics easily portable and perfectly cut. We also find recurring capsules collections; the Fight Aids tee-shirts which the profits of sales are put back in the fight against AIDS and the German Army sneakers which have become collector’s items. Available at Colette for 365 euro.

Another minimalistic footwear offering from visvim surfaces in the form of the SKAGWAY canvas. Featuring a basic monotone upper, the shoe’s profile follows some well-known silhouettes. As an added touch, the heel features a tan patch. Available now at select visvim retailers including Surrender (hypebeast)

Finally, we get some insight into the infamous Studded Sneakers by Christian Louboutin. If you stay up on fashion and footwear (like we know you do), you’ve seen a bevy of stars wearing these bad boys. Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beatz, and Kanye West (yet he wore the Rollerball Studded Loafers), are just a few celebs we’ve seen rocking these sneakers. The shoe is decked out more than 260 studs, premium leather, seven eyelets, and will be available in white and a few other colors. These sneakers will be available in the Christian Louboutin store soon (theshoebuff)

Swear, a british brand that has faded somewhat in to obscurity after having had great success with their very pointy shoes back when I was in high school have released a somewhat promising fall collection, especially the sneaker at the top, which borrows a little from Kris van Assche. Got this a couple of days ago from CrookedTongues. I have been looking for these for a while and I found them on sale. They fit true, but are a bit snug on the big toe. They look clean though. They’ll be good once they are broken in.

‘For those familiar with this past season from eYe JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARCONS, this New Balance 576 collaboration is a continuation of the collection’s outdoor and workwear theme. Featuring a reddish brown upper in full leather, the laces are distinctly on the workboot tip. By no means a ground-breaking design but something that compliments the rest of the collection this year. The eYe JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARCONS x New Balance 576 is available now at the flagship store in Hong Kong’s Central district with a retail price of $1950 HKD (approximatley $250 USD).
