The Rachel Comey “Uncle Dans” are a simple dress shoe, with elastic lace and a red (brick) sole (or soul) as they borrow some aesthetic traits from Red Brick Soul shoes, but none the less look sharp. A dress shoe does not need very much detailing to work, just a simple and nice shape. Not too pointy, not too round, not too wide, and not too narrow. These are available at Opening Ceremony for $340

Id Tuttle Sandals

These black shoes are a true hybrid between sandal and dress boot. I find them really really interesting and when I get the chance I am going to go try them on with a pair of black jeans/white tee.  Available at OakNyc for $568.

Some clean Neil Barrett moccassins. Some of these models are also available with lace, but I had a hard time finding all of the models. They are nice and funky though, and this idea would be even more ingenious had all the shoes been released in laced versions as well. Available for $290 at Yoox
